About Us

Buckskin Leather started in 1991 by Gordon who was taught leather craft in 1979 by George Pemberton, a Master Saddler.

Gordon has built his business up and now works on bespoke projects such as boat interiors, vintage car interiors, ladies bags and belts in addition to quality custom seats, saddle bags, tool rolls and many other leatherwork specialities for motorbikes. His work is of the highest standard, using only the best quality leather and materials.

Gordon works closely with his customers and will always try to meet their wishes, ideas and designs.

His client list is extensive with seats for Vic and Lin Jefford at Destiny Cycles and to other custom bike builders Nationwide. Gordon has also made seats for Oily Rag Motorcycles a friend of Henry Cole.

Gordon featured in 2008 at the ‘Rock n Blues’ UK Biker Build Off, where he built and carved a seat on site for a children’s cancer charity alongside Vic Jefford of Destiny Cycles who built the frame.

Gordon now lives and works in Scotland and continues his work in the UK and Europe.
